Scholarship protocol for withdrawals from the CSZCM 2025


Scholarship target: The objective of the scholarships will be to provide financial support to those
who wish to participate in a retreat, but what, Due to economic limitations, they can't

economic circumstances have the opportunity to benefit from Zen practice.

  1. Those responsible for granting scholarships: The members of the General Council of the Association will be responsible for granting the Scholarships. CSZCM
  2. Number and frequency of scholarships: A scholarship will be assigned for each withdrawal made during the year 2025.
  3. Preference to Award Scholarships:
    • Preference will be given to those participants who have not received another scholarship in the current year.
    • The allocation of scholarships will be carried out equitably, taking into account the diversity of applicants and their economic situation.
  4. Application Process:
    • Those interested in applying for a scholarship must complete an application form provided by the CSZCM, in which they will describe their personal and economic situation, as well as any other data that they consider relevant.
    • Applications must be submitted within a period of at least one month before the start date of the retreat..
  5. Evaluation and Notification:
    • The Evaluation Committee, composed of The General Council, will review applications and make decisions together.
    • Applicants will receive notification of the decision at least two weeks before the start of the withdrawal and must respond within seven days..

This protocol aims to promote inclusive participation in the retreats of the CSZCM and ensure that scholarships are allocated fairly and transparently, complying with established criteria.

Requirements to Provide Scholarships at CSZCM Retreats

Entry Criteria

  • Applicants must provide documentation proving their status
    economic or social, as:
  • Payrolls.
  • Tax returns.
  • Unemployment situation: be registered as a job seeker
  • Disability (33%)
  • People at risk of social exclusion

Applicant Suitability:

  • Applicants must demonstrate a genuine interest in the practice of Zen Buddhism and
    meditation, which can be evidenced through:
  • motivation letters.
  • References from teachers or meditation instructors.
  • Having participated in an urban retreat or meditation days in one of the
    different urban dojos of the CSZCM
